Ultraman anime to get live-action TV series.

Netflix’s ULTRAMAN 3D CG anime series will be getting a live-action television series. A crowdfunding campaign to adapt the anime show based on Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi’s Ultraman manga is running until March 30. The campaign aims to raise around US$45,800 in order to kickstart the Ultraman television series production. In addition, two promo visual featuring voice actors Ryohei Kimura and Takuya Eguchi as their characters Shinjiro Hayata/Ultraman and Dan Moroboshi/Seven in the series was also released.

ULTRAMAN 3D CG anime series was released worldwide on April 1, 2019, via Netflix. The second season of ULTRAMAN is scheduled to be released in April 2020. Tsuburaya Production‘s official youtube channel also began streaming a teaser trailer for the series’ 2nd season.

Shimizu and Shimoguchi of Linebarrels of Iron fame debuted the Ultraman manga series in Monthly Hero‘s since the magazine’s inaugural issue in 2011. The manga is a sequel of the Ultraman television series which aired in Japan from July 17, 1966, to April 9, 1967.
