Lucasfilm released on Monday a new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer. The new trailer took fans down memory lane with sneak peaks from previous films of the franchise, but the surprising part was when the trailer reveals footage of dark Jedi Rey, hinting that the heroic may join the dark side in the movie. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is produced, co-written and directed by J. J. Abrams. The film is the third installment of the sequel trilogy, following The Force Awakens (2015) and The Last Jedi (2017), and also the ninth and final episode of the Star Wars film franchise.
The film stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams and Ian McDiarmid.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled to open in theaters December 20.
