Kingdom manga to receive three more movies, sequel production begin in Winter.


Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom manga film adaptation grossed over 5 billion Yen at the Japanese box office. As a result, reports suggests Sony Pictures Japan is currently developing three more movies. In addition, The sequel will go in production this winter.

Shinsuke Satō directed the first movie which open in theaters in April. The manga series inspired a three-minutes live-action short in 2016to celebrate the manga’s 10th anniversary.

The manga launched in Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2006. And a received anime adaptation in 2012, another season premiered in 2013.
